Too bad that skill is one of the worst in the game.

If you are a tocuher ranger or a shck warrior it may be the worst, but not if you are a paragon against them, XD.

As can be seen, not all ideas here should be implemented. There's a lot of stupidity when people are allowed to vent their creative spleens, but there's the occaisional gem.

Yes, the Dev's get ideas from these threads and implement them on occassion. Most of the ideas here suck, are not balanced, or are not possible though. The ones that are balanced (or can be), possible, and liked by the users here, Anet may use if they can, and want to.

Another brillant post Phoenix Tears.
And no Mithran, you can't use runes from your secondary.

When will guys learn to accept, that there are also people... with other opinions then you, which don't think.. that certain concepts of GW1 were THAT perfect and could have been made better.
like Dervishs.. I absolutely don't understand...why they gave this profession absolutely NO Dance Skills...a Dervish is no Dervish imo with Dance Skills, because thats the well known thing, what Dervishs do - dancing and then anet makes out of them wannabe-gods, just because some whiners wanted a shapeshifter.... what could have been a much better Shaman Class (shapeshifting into Animals - what would also look not so overpowered) ...then the Dervish.
Magma, shut up, you've no clue about what I've talked... making it possible to use the runes of your momentanous secondary unbalances absolutely nothing, nor makes it anything in kind of gameplay "easier" ...it just would balance the strength differences between same skill combinations, like the mentioned R/RT - RT/R Splinter/Barrage difference...
its just not balanced, when RT/R's are weith the same skill set alot stronger, then R/RT's with it, just because of a little different attribute difference, because A16 on the ritualists affects far more Splinter Weapon, then A16 on the Ranger affects the strength of Barrage...
Due to this fact, alot of ranger players got discriminated and insta kicked out of partys, when the leaders found rt/r's
This would change only, when all characters would become able, to use also the runes of the secondary, your characxter is in the moment (naturally not all of all professions, just ever only those of the secondary you are)
Because it does make absolutely no differenc,e if I put now a superiour rune for my bow damage on me, or if i put a superior rune for the splinter weapon put on me - one thing will be ever the balancing same!!! I lose 75 HP !!!
@Hawk. that is, what you have said now...not I....stop laying words in my mouth, which I haven't written so !!!
@Storm: ya and no one should be allowed to flame, just because of having an other oppinion, than someone else ... the stupid are only those..which can't
discuss something without flaming

Actually... that isn't what a dervish is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dervish
A dervish is a Sufi ascetic from the 19th century.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mevlevi
This... is a specific group of dervishes who are known for the twirling dancing. This is where a lot of misconceptions/sterotypes about what Dervishes are comes from.
<--- history major
By definition, not all, or even most, dervishes are dancers.

*Sigh*
...closing time. Everyone can now go home.
Incidentally, Gaile Grey definately views and visits these forums. She's even reported bad posts and threads to the mods before. She just doesn't have the time to reply to a lot of the ideas, and let's face it, when she does people get all eager and yippy.
